Im still here, barely

I am so very sick.  I have this pressure head cold, sore throat, achy body, extreme fatigue cold thing that hit me on Sunday and has not let up! I am so sick of it.  I have missed all my classes, I tried going to one on Wednesday, the teacher to one look at me and sent me home.  Which was good, because I was having a hot flash, there was sweat on my upper lip and I didnt think I could stand much longer.  Unfortunately though I had to go to the store to pick up meds because it didnt make any sense for me to go home and send my husband all the way back across town for them since I was right there.

I really can not stand being sick.  And missing this much school makes me sick to my stomach.  I thought I was on the upswing but this morning I woke up and still did not feel any better.  My mom thought it might be allergies so I got some Claritin D, even the store brand was $21 for 30/12 hour pills.  Come to find out that all it is is psuedophedrine and loratidine.  I can get both of those cheaper and just take them together for half as much as $21!  I took that when I got home yesterday and it took a small edge off, but not much.  So it is definitely a cold.  I know two other woman that go to my college have missed school because of this same cold this week as well.

Good news is, even though I have been eating whatever I wanted for the last 6 weeks apparently I have learned to listen to my body because I stepped on the scale and havent gained a single pound!  This week I have purchased lots of vegetables and food to eat at the house instead of eating out and I feel like I am back on track.  Obviously I am not running again yet, but that will come.

And I will leave you with this picture of one of the first weeks of Conservation class of me cross cutting a log, Im the one in the pink coat.

Have a wonderful St. Patrick's Day weekend!

  1. So sorry you're sick. Congrats on the maintenance! I think of you often because I just started a "learn to run" clinic with the Running Room. You were one of my running inspirations:)
